TestBench 4.0 – Live Demo: What’s coming in the new generation of test management?
With version 4.0, we are releasing the next major version of TestBench. The update speeds up workflows, deepens automation integration and enables low-code/no-code testing without technical hurdles. What does that mean in practice? We will demonstrate it live on 10th February 2026 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. in our online event. Experience the new features in a live demo and ask our experts your questions directly.
To give you an idea of what you can look forward to, here is an overview of the most important highlights that we will be presenting live:
iTORX becomes a Progressive Web App
A genuine upgrade for teams working on the move and in the browser:
- The previous Java-based iTORX is being transformed into a modern web app (PWA).
- Test definitions can be imported via a URL in the browser, including integration into other tools such as CI/CD systems or task planning systems like Jira.
PWA technology ensures a fast and lightweight user experience – in the browser and without installation.
Deeply integrated Robot Framework Automation
Low-Code/No-Code Test Automation: specification = automation.
We’re presenting:
- VS Code Extension that generates tests directly from TestBench.
- Automated keywords from Robot Framework and technical keywords from TestBench are synchronised via VS Code.
- The extension and the generators are Open Source – flexibly adaptable for your own toolchains and test automation systems.
This merges test design and technical implementation in a completely new way.
AI Support for Test Design and Test Automation
In version 4.0, AI is integrated as an assistance tool for the first time:
- Review functions for test case sets
- Aligning keywords and implementation
- Automatic keyword documentation
- Translation of technical defect messages into understandable technical language
This makes test analyses and fault diagnosis significantly easier and faster.
New Jira Integration (Cloud, bidirectional)
The integration of requirements and defect management systems is based on new technology with a new REST API. System integration is becoming faster and easier.
Integration with Jira is the first implementation:
- Importing via Jira-Issue Type
- Importing custom fields from Jira
- Synchronisation of modifications
- Next step: Transfer test results to Jira
The integration will also be Open Source, along with the new reference implementations for Excel formats and the JSON Lines format.
