The user interface of TestBench Cloud Services can be individually supplemented with custom fields to map the project-specific workflow. The custom fields fit seamlessly into the existing GUI design, work like all other data fields and can be inserted within each data entity: epic, user story, test case, execution, defect. There are four different types of custom fields: single line, multiline, link, or attachment.
A custom field of type "link" can, for example, be used to link to an external Defect Management System, e.g., JIRA, and the defects stored there. Multiline text fields could be used, for example, to provide additional comment fields for developers to enter suggestions for testing or troubleshooting. Multiline custom fields can be formatted using Markdown. A cheat sheet for Markdown can be found here.
The custom fields can be combined into blocks to visualize associated data. You can insert custom fields to extend and customize Epics, User Stories, Test Cases, Executions, and Defects.
